Profanity Organ

The Profanity Organ has the possibly silliest looking interface for a surprisingly useful drawbar organ.

This is not another multi-sampled rendition of a real Hammond organ.

Instead it simulates the physical behaviour of the all the component parts – including the tonewheels, drawbars, key contacts, scanner, and all the other wonderful circuitry of the amplifier and rotary speaker cabinet – all coming together to recreate that sought-after Hammond organ sound.

The instrument was designed to meet the needs of live performance and had to be light weight and reliable, but also sound great. So all of this has been created from a single sine wave sample, using the power of Kontakt and some specially designed scripting to bring the instrument to life.

You can get everything from squabbling jazzy dissonance to a soaring rich gospel anthem with an interface that is familiar, if only slightly hideous, to any organ player.
