The Shepherd’s flute was recorded in a smallish studio in Sofia, Bulgaria, using a single microphone. This approach gives the recordings a cosy and personal ambiance, almost as if you were right there in the room with the musician.
In keeping with Libre Wave’s style, these samples boast minimal natural reverb, affording you the freedom to apply your own effects and shape the virtual sonic environment to your liking.
One of the standout features of this library is its “performance” articulation. This interprets your playing in real-time, generating lifelike legato transitions, trills, attacks, ornaments, and glides, delivering an unparalleled level of expressiveness.
The sustain samples have been meticulously looped and phase-aligned, resulting in seamless and smooth transitions devoid of any unwanted artefacts.
Alongside the three recorded round-robin (RR) for most of the short articulations, the instrument incorporates Libre Wave’s infinite variation engine. This operates in the background, enhancing realism through a blend of techniques that introduce subtle, continuous variations to every note, ensuring an ever-evolving musical experience.
