The Yard

Theres metal, wood, plumbing pieces, scrap, junk, a tractor tyre, a cone. All sorts. BUT, whilst those samples were cool, I wanted to experiment further so I collated what I had in to ‘drum’ groups, I re-amped the ‘snare’ type sounds through 4 different sized snare drums:

• A 6” no name snare
• 10” Pearl Popcorn (90’s Pearl drums are so underrated! Wonderfully made)
• 12” Majetone
• 14” Majetone

I thought I’d try tuning some of these one shot samples into instruments - there were some real surprises. I’ve added the instruments and processing I liked the best. Hope you enjoy it!
