Fibes 1970’s Vintage Snare

Fibes 1970’s Vintage Snare is a collection of 365 perfectly recorded snare hits, using the highly sought after and rare Fibes snare drum.

Dating back to the 1970’s this snare has been used in countless hit songs.

All snare hits were recorded using a wooden stick and include closed and open latch hits. As well as rim shots, dampened hits and hand percussion hits.

Each hit is unique in it’s own right and will work with any genre.

WIDE RANGE OF HITS

Snare hits cover all possible sounds the snare can make. Such hits include open latch hits, closed latch hits, rim shots, dampened hits and hand percussion hits.

Recording such a wide range of hits allows the user to create a realistic drum loop that is not repetitive and robotic.

FULL RICH SOUND

All samples have been recorded in the Audio Animals recording booth using a range of different mics that sum through a super analogue Solid State Logic SSL summing console.

Whilst summing each mic is routed through a SSL EQ and compressor achieving a detailed, controlled and full rich sound.

1970's VINTAGE SNARE

It's not often you get a chance to record such an iconic snare drum that dates back to the 1970's. The Fibes snare was and still is highly sought after.

We only had this snare for a few weeks so we wanted to record every possible hit type it could make. So we always had the snare in our instruments library.
