Caucasian City

Kislovodsk is a small city in the Caucasus region, which is located near Elbrus – the highest mountain in Europe. It’s surrounded by mountainous terrain, which has strong influence on the soundscape of the city.

It is no coincidence that the Caucasus is one of the favorite destinations of domestic tourism in Russia. A diverse flora, magnificent landscapes, fast rivers and high mountains, semi-deserts and healing mineral springs, architectural monuments and delicious food are wonderfully combined here.

Listen to the birds singing in the morning on the narrow streets of the resort town. Enjoy the sound of the wind on a mountain peak near Elbrus. Feel the atmosphere of a spontaneous open-air market and a majestic Orthodox church.

All this is the Caucasus, a picturesque mountainous region, sung by many famous poets of Russia.

Using DPA 4060, I recorded streets, traffic, quiet neighborhoods, parks, public places, mountain peaks and rivers that will help you fill in the gaps if you need atmospheres from the Caucasus!
