Created using period reverbs with genre defining gates to create abruptly ending tails.
Created by altering the bit depth and clock-rate of sounds to introduce aliasing artefacts indicative of older technology.
A processed warp created by running sounds through slightly saturated and un calibrated tape resulting in a sound similar to a worn out VHS tape.
A processed warp created by processing sounds through vintage modulation equipment such as a Chorus (Dimension C/D). An effect perhaps overused in the time period, resulting in width and all that harmonically phasing goodness.
This library combines two dynamic forces: Jupiter by Trevor Horn and Solar. One, a collection of defining sounds; the other, is a tool for reinventing them. The most up-to-date iteration of our eDNA technology, Solar is the host to Jupiter’s curated pop samples and the eDNA's extensive warp and preset library.
In Solar you can blend and mould two sounds together to create your own unique sound, Solar also allows you to combine other products in this range together. Within Solar, you find Jupiter’s sounds and samples recorded and produced in the legendary hitmaker Trevor Horn’s studio.
As one of this generation’s most decorated producers, Trevor Horn is a true legend in the music industry. After forming The Buggles and recording the chart topping 1979 hit “Video Killed the Radio Star”, Horn went on to produce some of the most recognizable anthems that defined the Eighties, including ABC’s “Lexicon of Love”, “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s number one hits “Relax”, “Two Tribes” and “The Power of Love”. Horn went on to produce hits for Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Barry Manilow, Cher, Boyzone, 10cc, John Legend, Lisa Stansfield, and Robbie Williams, altogether earning him 3 Brit Awards for Best British Producer, 3 Producer of the Year awards, 5 Ivor Novellos, 2 Grammy Awards for Yes’ “90215” and Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose”, and the 2014 MPG Lifetime Achievement Award.
