Play Mode: Polyphonic / Root: menu
In "Polyphonic mode" the bulbul is fully polyphonic
In "Root" mode, it plays monophonically, with the root key as selected - the root key being the note from the open strings. You cannot play notes *below* the selected root key. If any note (other than the root) is released while the root key is held down, then released notes will produce a hanging "tail" at the pitch of the root key. This mimics the behaviour of the real instrument, where the strings are not damped, so releasing a note can cause the open strings to continue to vibrate. To see the effect, select "Root A1", hold down the A1 key and play a staccato melody on the notes above A1. If one of the "Root" modes are selected above, the two "HangingNote" controls become active: The "HangingNote Vol." knob controls the overall volume of the hanging root-note tails
The "HangingNote Rand." knob controls the amount of volume randomization of the hanging root-note tails.
Drone menu: selects which key the drone strings are tuned to. The drone samples come after a key is pressed, mimicking the response of the drone strings on a real bulbul tarang. NoteOff: activating this button turns on the note-off samples, which are triggered when a note is released
Distortion: turns on a tube-like distortion effect
Cabinet: turns on a cabinet-simulator (Tweed-Alnico 4x10 cabinet)
