"The four strings guitar had an open D tuning, which is default. Using the transpose keys you can transpose each whole twelve-tones set (12 harmonies each using open tuning with a different chromatic note on the 3rd string) up to A open, so basically its 7 semitones transpose possibilities. This is the maximum range we could stretch in order to keep a playable tone."
