Sacred rhythms
The berimbau consists of an arched rod, made of wood or polyester, with an approximate length of 1.50 meters at 1.70 meters and a steel wire attached to the ends of the pole. At its base is tied a gourd that functions as a sounding board.

Shake Your Music
The Caxixi is a percussion instrument made of a closed basket with a flat-bottom filled with seeds or other small particles. The round bottom is traditionally cut from a dried gourd. The Agogô of sanded coconut is made in a handmade way with wooden handle bolted in two dry coconuts that are sanded and varnished. Touched like the other models, with a wooden bat.

Traditional Brazilian Percussion
The Tantã is a percussive instrument consisting of a cylindrical type of side drum similar to the brazilian atabaque with a wooden or aluminum shaft. It has an animal or polyester skin drum head on only one of its sides. Its diameter can vary though the most used is one is the 12" tantã also called rebolo in Brazil.

Percussive Instrument
The Afoxé is a percussive instrument that is constructed with loops of a steel ball chain wrapped around a wide cylinder. The cylinder is fixed to a long, narrow, wooden or plastic handle. The player places his non-dominant hand on the metal chain, to provide pressure, while holding the wooden handle with the other hand and twisting the instrument back and forth as per the rhythmic pattern desired.
The library was recorded at João Francisco’s Studio in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, by the great percussionist Robson Batata, in an incredible room with 2 microphones. A Neumann KM184 and a Neumann U87. Two preamps, a Vintech Audio 573 and Grace M501 routed in a Apogee Symphony. Besides Robson Batata, we also have the performance of the great percussionist Luciano Paulo, recorded in an earlier session.

Unique Percussion
The Repique de Mão was created by percussionist Ubirani, musician of Fundo de Quintal, a legendar samba group in Brazil. The instrument was frequently used by other samba groups all around the country. Born from a drum Tom, the Repique de Mão allows the player to “swing” over the beat of the song.
The Repique library was recorded at João Francisco’s studio in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, by the great percussionist Robson Batata, in an incredible room with 4 microphones. A Neumann KM 184, a Shure SM 57, a Neumann U 87 and a Bock Audio 250 were used for the room. Two preamps – API 512c, one Vintech Audio 573 and one Grace 501 routed in a Symphony Apogee were used in the audio capture.

A wide choice of grooves and rhythmic variations
The repinique was established in samba percussion in the 1950s. This drum was made out of wood with natural heads made from goatskin. Normally used in samba schools (percussion ensembles). It is tuned very high to produce a tone that cuts through the sound of the rest of the ensemble.
The library brings a killer performance, of Robson Batata, with a wide choice of grooves and rhythmic variations, making it possible to combine dozens of patterns within the song. With a pristine capture, the Brazilian Series Repinique comes with more than 80 loops, in addition to the single Hits.
The Repinique was recorded at João Francisco's Studio in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in an incredible room with 4 microphones. A Neumann KM184, a Shure SM57, a Neumann U87 and a Bock Audio 251 were used for the room. Two preamps, a Vintech Audio 573 and Grace M501 routed in a Apogee Symphony.
The Graphical interfaces are now cleaner and more objective.

Brazilian Rhythms and single hits
The new Pandeiro library offers a wide selection of Brazilian rhythms, in addition to bringing single hits on 5 different instruments.
Like the recent libraries, Pandeiro 2 was recorded with 4 microphones, a Shure SM57, a Royer R122, a pair of Neumann KM184 and a neumann U87 for ambience. The preamps, 2 Grace M101, a API 512a and UA 2610.
In the new session we have a performance of the percussion Guru, Robson Batata, bringing an extensive variation of rhythms and grooves, in addition to modern rhythmic cells that allow more versatility use for the Pandeiro. There are six .nki files with groups of cells distributed at three different bpm. They all have fixed time and sync. In addition to the Robson session, we have another performance previously recorded by the great musicians, Marcos Nascimento and Paulo Gomes. Altogether we have 14 different .nki files and more than 160 different loops, along with 5 Pandeiros in Single Hits.
